It’s time for our season finale! We’ll be back with new episodes in September. Until then, enjoy the episode and dive into back episodes for loads of great interviews!

In this episode:

  • Justin Sayre brings his variety show, THE MEETING, satirizing the gay agenda to raise money and awareness for the Ali Forney Center, and organization dedicated to helping Homeless LBGT Youth. He came into the studio to discuss the organization and show.
  • The Prospect Theatre Company brings the musical (and 2007 NYMF favorite) WITH GLEE to Theatre Row in July. Director, Igor Goldin and actor Dan Lawler talk about the show and share some recordings of the music.
  • The Oberon Theatre Ensemble is bringing two plays to Theatre Row this summer; OTHELLO and new play, ORDER. Artistic Director Brad Fryman and (Former Tony Nominee) Austin Pendleton who is directing ORDER talk about the two play’s connections.
  • We’ve got more from the Planet Connections Festivity. Peter Dagger (Writer/Producer) and Matt Britten (Director/Producer) talk about their musical, BJ: A MUSICAL ROMP, and share a recording of one of the songs from the show!
  • Marty Cooper shares his predictions for the Tony Awards this Sunday in ON THE POSITIVE SIDE.
  • …and one more Planet Connections show… Director Leah Bonvissuto and playwright, Felipe Ossa discuss the play CAKE. Both were involved with the favorite of last year’s festival, Monetizing Emma, and aim for lighting to strike twice.
